Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all members, players, parents/guardians, coaches, and participants (“Members”) of London Mambas Elite Basketball Club (“the Club”). By registering with or participating in the Club, you agree to abide by the following:

1. Membership & Registration

1.1. Membership is open to individuals who complete the registration process and pay all required fees.

1.2. For players under 18, a parent/guardian must complete registration on their behalf.

1.3. Membership is non-transferable and may be revoked if these Terms are breached.

1.4. Members must provide accurate personal, medical, and emergency contact details.

2. Fees & Payments

2.1. Membership, training, and competition fees must be paid in full by the stated deadlines.

2.2. Fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the Club’s discretion.

2.3. Failure to pay fees may result in suspension from training, games, or events.

2.4. Additional costs (e.g., travel, tournament fees, kit/uniforms) are the responsibility of the Member.

3. Training & Attendance

3.1. Members are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions, games, and events unless prior notice is given.

3.2. Consistent lateness or absence may affect playing time and selection for competitions.

3.3. Members must wear the official club kit/uniform during games and appropriate sportswear for training.

4. Code of Conduct

4.1. Members must show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, referees, and officials at all times.

4.2. Bullying, discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

4.3. Parents/guardians are expected to support positively and refrain from negative sideline behavior.

4.4. Members must follow the instructions of coaches and staff during training and matches.

4.5. Any misconduct may result in suspension or termination of membership.

5. Health, Safety & Medical

5.1. Members must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or allergies that may affect participation.

5.2. The Club takes reasonable precautions to ensure safety but participation in basketball carries inherent risk of injury.

5.3. The Club is not liable for injuries sustained during training, matches, or events unless caused by negligence.

5.4. First aid will be provided where possible, and emergency services will be contacted if necessary.

5.5. Members are responsible for arranging their own medical insurance if desired.

6. Safeguarding & Welfare

6.1. The Club is committed to safeguarding all members, particularly children and vulnerable individuals.

6.2. All staff and volunteers working with minors are subject to appropriate safeguarding checks.

6.3. Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to the Club’s Welfare Officer.

7. Photography & Media

7.1. The Club may take photos or videos during training, games, and events for promotional purposes.

7.2. Members (or parents/guardians for under-18s) must provide consent for use of images.

7.3. If consent is not given, the Club will make reasonable efforts to exclude the individual from media.

8. Competitions & Representation

8.1. Team selection is at the sole discretion of the coaching staff.

8.2. Selection is based on commitment, effort, discipline, and performance.

8.3. Members representing the Club at competitions must uphold the highest standards of behavior on and off the court.

9. Cancellation & Termination

9.1. Members may cancel their membership by providing written notice to the Club.

9.2. No refunds will be issued for unused sessions or early withdrawal.

9.3. The Club reserves the right to terminate membership for breach of these Terms or misconduct.

10. Liability

10.1. The Club will not be held liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

10.2. Participation in basketball activities is voluntary and at the Member’s own risk.

10.3. The Club’s liability for any claim is limited to the amount of fees paid for membership.

11. Data Protection

11.1. The Club collects and stores personal data in accordance with UK Data Protection Laws (UK GDPR).

11.2. Data will only be used for administration, communication, and safeguarding purposes.

11.3. Members may request access to their data at any time.

12. Amendments

12.1. The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

12.2. Members will be notified of significant changes. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
